We love our city, so we pray for our city.

We pray Matthew 6:10 over our city, "Your kingdom come,
your will be done, on earth [in Ames] as it is in heaven."

 

We boldly pray Psalms 33:8 over our city, asking that all of Ames would fear the Lord and all the inhabitants of Ames would stand in awe of him!

We pray Habakkuk 3:2 over our city that the Lord’s love, wrath, justice, and mercy would be made known in Ames.

We pray for our city officials according to 1 Timothy 2:1-2, so we pray that they would find godly wisdom in decision-making. We ask that each representative submit themselves to God, the ultimate authority in each of our lives. For the city's decision-makers, we pray that God would move on their hearts to protect all life, living and unborn, that they would uphold religious freedom, and recognize family and gender as God so beautifully and perfectly designed. We pray for their protection and that each of their families would be strengthened. Finally, we pray for those who have not yet called on the name of Jesus Christ for salvation and pray they will come to know Him as their Savior.
