We’re wrapping another school year this month and it’s a good time to review what God has done this year. It’s been exciting as a pastor to see things happening “behind the scenes” that only God can do.
God has been working in our church with people trusting in Christ including children, adults, internationals and college students. We praise God for his work in people’s lives. We’ve been blessed through Glen Hylton’s leadership in AWANA and praising God because of several children saved and baptized. We’ve had several teens get baptized as well.
In missions we’ve gotten the missionaries that we’ve sent out and are looking for support up to our goal of 10% of their support. We also have the exciting privilege of supporting missions trips. We praise God for the missions trips going out this year to Columbia and Japan. It is awesome to see God continuing to work in and through our church!
God has blessed by giving us 40% of our adult membership involved in small groups. Pastor Scott has been instrumental in helping our small groups continue to develop and start implementing curriculum. Our teachers have done excellent jobs in teaching God’s Word and encouraging growth with our attendance growing this year. Our Adult Bible Fellowships have flourished overall by carefully looking at students’ needs and seeking to meet those biblically.
Deb Gray has done a wonderful job organizing and coordinating the use of our kitchen! We’ve been able to coordinate events between ministries very well and we praise God for the people becoming a part of our church as we get to know one another through fellowship.
God has been good to give us some great people with great talents to lead us in worship. We’ve been able to communicate better, celebrate our God more, be better organized and have more testimonies in the services. We’ve involved a lot of the congregation in helping us worship.
God has been so good to our church this year! He’s given us the resources to fix our wall problem. He’s provided a van. He’s allowed us to use our resources well for His glory! Several people have been faithful in giving their time and helping to stay organized in regards to or resources. Liz Pehl is helping our storage area stay organized. Richard Schwartz is taking care of our trees with Deb West weeding our landscaping. Dave Hyman has been taking care of our vehicles. Vi Hall has kept track of our finances and Randy Woodbury has been doing a superb job managing our budget.
