Here’s Berry’s story of how God has worked in her life:
I grew up in a Christian family. My grandmother told me a lot about Jesus Christ. There is one phrase she told me-“whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” I was impressed by this phrase My grandmother would always tell me to pray about problems. Once when I was about 10 years old, I was very worried because the electricity was off. I needed it to be turned on by a certain time. My grandmother said to pray and the electricity turned on at the exact moment. I was amazed. I began to believe a little bit that there might be a God. There were other times that my grandmother told me to pray and my prayers were answered exactly. My Father also told me it was very important to believe in God and Jesus Christ. I cannot tell you when as a child I believed in Jesus Christ, but I can tell you what I believe today. I believe I am a sinner. I believe Jesus is God and He is the only one who can save me. I believe that I have called on the name of the Lord. I believe I am going to heaven because I am a child of God. Jesus has paid for my sins. I am pure in God’s eyes.
